Unsupported SQL Server software (or even supported SQL Server software running on out-of-date Windows Server operating systems) does not receive security patches from Microsoft and hence becomes more vulnerable to AI-based cyberattacks. As these threats grow more sophisticated, outdated systems face a heightened risk of serious, large-scale patient privacy breaches that can lead to significant and potentially unmanageable consequences. To protect your practice from emerging threats, you need the latest version of ABELDent, up-to-date hardware, Microsoft-supported Windows operating systems on all computers, and Microsoft SQL Server software. - Required Microsoft SQL 2025 CALs (Client Access Licenses)

ABELDent Cloud does not require local SQL Server software with CALs and associated costs, or any related hardware or software. As a result, the total cost of ABELDent Cloud over the long run is significantly less.
